How much will a pool cost?

Prices for our superior quality pools begin in the mid-$40,000 price range. Our designs range from architecturally clean and streamlined to complex sophistication. We create our quality pools to fit a variety of budgets and lifestyles. Ultimately, the guiding factors that determine a pool’s cost are its size, features, accessibility to excavate, topography, equipment, and finish; however, when partnering with us for our guidance and expertise, we will create a luxurious pool that you and your family will enjoy for many lifetimes to come.

Will adding a pool, spa or luxury living space increase the value of my home?

You are sure to increase the resale value of your home by adding a swimming pool or luxury outdoor living space to your home. This especially holds true if other homes in your neighborhood also have backyard amenities.

What kind of pool is right for me?

The amount of usable space in your yard will determine what size pool is appropriate for you and your family. The shape of your pool depends on the fun and healthy activities you and your family want to engage in together. If exercise is most important, perhaps a pool that facilitates swimming laps is appropriate. If you desire a pool that reflects a backyard oasis with a setting for entertaining, relaxing, and overall enjoyment then a freeform design is probably the right choice. We invite you to visit our website to view and research a variety of pool designs that fit lifestyles of all types. Our design professionals are available to assist you in determining the pool shape and design that works best for you.

Should I consider a salt water pool?

The majority of pools that we build today are salt chlorinated pools. Despite the name, salt water pools are not chlorine-free. Salt-chlorinated pools create their own chlorine through the process of electrolysis. Salt water pools are 1/10th as salty as the ocean; however, the salt provides many advantages and their popularity continues to grow daily. Since chlorine levels are much lower in salt water pools, the water is much gentler on the eyes, skin, and hair while the water leaves skin feeling silky smooth to the touch. A salt-chlorinating system is more expensive initially than a standard chlorine pool; however, the maintenance costs are just about equal. While regular maintenance is still required, salt-chlorinated pools do require less maintenance than chlorinated pools.

When is the optimum time to build a pool?

There is no better time to build a pool in Southern California than now. Our mild climate allows pool construction to continue without the common weather delays found in more seasonal climates. Many people choose to wait until the spring and summer months to build their pool thus it might take longer as consumer demand increases. Planning ahead guarantees an on-time completion date.

How long will it take to build my pool?

The time it takes to build your pool is ultimately dependent on the size and complexity of the design.  Our swimming pool projects average approximately two months from the time we have the building permit to the time your new swimming pool is completed.  Please keep in mind that outdoor features, landscaping, and other items may take additional time.  We are able to give you a more accurate estimate of time completion once the complete project scope is evaluated. To schedule your in-home consultation, please contact us at 310.393.3831 or email us at office@coastalaquaticcreations.com.

What are our payment terms?

Each and every one of our agreements includes a comprehensive payment schedule so there is never any guesswork when it comes to making payments.  We operate under and strictly adhere to the guidelines set forth by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB) in California. To begin, we require only the deposit allowed by law, with payments due upon the completion of each phase as the project progresses. In other words, we only ask for payment after we have earned it!

What about servicing the pool?

We recommend hiring a knowledgeable skilled regularly scheduled pool maintenance service, typically once weekly, to help maintain a clean and healthy swimming environment. Having your pool monitored and serviced at least weekly will help keep chemicals balanced, filters, skimmers, and baskets clean, and the pool floor brushed and vacuumed. With proper weekly care and maintenance, your pool and equipment will function more efficiently. If you have difficulty finding a qualified pool service in your area, please contact us for our recommendations.
